THE ROCK & THE JUDGE
Plaster and pigment, ral 5001 specified for an adjacent wall, commissioned drawings by police officers, 2006
A policeman is asked to make a drawing of a judge – who is known to him – passing sentence. The drawing is framed, and hung looking down on a white sealed plaster sculpture of a rock, made by the artist. In response to the qualities of the drawing, the sculpture is given an animistic value.
